Meet Inquilaabis:
Neha & Sriya.

We met in a specific situation where we figured out that we both want to make media on collaborative terms rather than extractive ones. We bring together 25+ years of experience to the table.

Inky·laa·bees

Inquilaabis comes from Inquilaab (اِنْقِلَاب), a word with Urdu, Persian, and Arabic roots meaning revolution.

Inquilaab Zindabad (‘Long Live the Revolution’) was a rallying cry of the Indian independence movement against British rule.

Inquilaabis reimagines the term to evoke revolutionaries in the plural or two women revolutionaries—who also see storytelling as an act of resistance.

Our Beliefs

We believe good storytelling is a responsibility.

We believe good storytelling is a responsibility.

Our work is rooted in amplifying voices that carry real consequence, and we approach every production with care, intention, and respect for the people who trust us with their stories.

Our Community

Our Community

We take utmost care of our collaborators.

We take utmost care of our collaborators.

On set, that means creating an environment where participants feel safe, supported, and in control of what they share. We prioritize pre-interviews, not just to shape strong narratives, but to build trust and ensure people are comfortable being on camera.

We design our productions with care at every level, including recommending the presence of a social worker or support professional when needed, so that participants are held beyond the frame.

We recognize that participating in these projects is labor, as is sharing their home and personal spaces, and we aim to ensure they are compensated accordingly for it. We extend that same commitment to our crew, hiring from our trusted network and ensuring everyone is paid a livable wage.

We reject extractive storytelling practices. Our goal is not just to document, but to build processes where everyone involved is respected, supported, and fairly compensated. Dignity and equity are not add-ons to our work, they are the foundation of how we create.

Let's start
the conversation.

We’re looking to work with teams, brands, and organizations who resonate with our values. If that’s you, let’s explore what’s possible.
